Quick answers

The questions relocating families ask first.

Short, honest answers to the questions we hear most from relocating families, straight from the relocation FAQ.

What areas do you cover?

Boise, Eagle, Meridian, Star, Middleton, Nampa, Kuna, Caldwell, and Garden City: the towns of the Treasure Valley we help families from across the country call home.

Does Idaho have a state income tax?

Yes. Idaho uses a single flat rate of 5.3 percent for 2025 and 2026, one of the larger cuts in the state's history. Confirm the current schedule with official sources before you plan.

What is the weather really like in Boise?

Boise is a semi-arid high desert with four real seasons: roughly 206 sunny days and about 13 inches of rain a year. The biggest change for many transplants is the sunshine and dryness, not the cold.

Do I need to re-register my car in Idaho?

Yes. Idaho gives new residents 30 days from establishing residency to title and register vehicles, so plan it early in your first month.
